Welcome
to the internet home of the Central Coast Quilt Shops!
We
are an association of twelve quilt shops, located
across three counties in the beautiful Central
Coast Region of California. Together we work to
bring our love of fabric, quilting and sewing
to our customers. In the process, we hope to be
able to reach out to those who have never ventured
into the creative world of quilt-making and help
them feel as passionate about our craft as we
are.
Our
biggest event of each year is always held the
first weekend in June, following Memorial Day
-- it's The Central Coast Quilt Shop Tour. This
year it will be held on June 6, 7 and 8, 2008!
During
this three-day event, quilters from everywhere
venture along the California Coast to visit each
of our shops, attempting to complete a "Tour
Pass" by having it stamped at each shop along
the way. Those who manage to visit all of the
twelve shops are qualified to enter their "Tour
Pass" in a drawing for our major prizes.
Along
the way, participants can join in more fun by
entering the daily drawing held each day during
the Tour at every Association shop. Each shop
gives away a Prize Basket at the end of each day
during the Tour. Our Prize Baskets are loaded
with fabric, notions, patterns, books and other
goodies that are donated by our generous suppliers,
vendors as well as the member quilt shops. There
are 36 Prize Baskets given away each year during
the three-day Central Coast Quilt Shop Tour!
